Badges - Gala Dinner

Badges function as tickets in the “Mediterranean” Restaurant for the Gala Dinner. The “Mediterranean” Restaurant is located in the MAICh venue. Persons without registration may ask for a ticket for the Gala Dinner. Tickets are available at the reception desk of the Conference. Cost: 30 euros. During the Gala Dinner folk dance is arranged.


In MAICh conference venue WI-FI can be accessed without a password. There are different access points. Please use the one with the strongest signal. MAICh provides 50Mbit internet connection, which can easily support hundreds concurrent users. 

Receipts & Certificates

Receipts are available from the reception desk of the conference. Certificates will be sent by email.

Social Programme

The lunches as well as the Gala Dinner will be served in the “Mediterranean” Restaurant, located in MAICh.

Transportation from Hotels to and from the Venue

A number of participants have booked accommodation in hotels downtown. All participants staying in hotels are kindly requested to arrange their own transportation to/from the MAICh Conference Venue.


Participants are responsible to arrange their own transportation from the hotels to the airport and vice versa. Best way is taking a taxi which costs approximately 25€-28€ from/to the city center.

A GUIDED TOUR in the OLD TOWN of CHANIA (optional)

The guided tour is organized on Saturday morning 16 June. A two-hour tour of Old Town of Chania. Minimum number of participants: 10 persons. Departure at 09:30 outside the municipal Market (AGORA) in the town center. Finish at 11:30. Please, ask for further information or tickets at the reception desk of the conference. Cost: 20 euros.

Description: A stroll around the Old Town of Chania, a town which has more than 5.000 years of history. The tour will start from the municipal Market which has an abundance of local products and will continue to the former Muslim neighborhood of the city. There we will see the church of Saint Nicholas, the small church of Saint Rocco and the two minarets preserved in the town. Then we will walk to Kastelli hill, the oldest part of the town and see what excavations brought to light. From the hill of Kastelli we'll continue to the old port and the Jewish neighborhood while for the end we will leave Topanas district with the Venetian fort Firkas.
